Noise Album View Mockup by Nicekiwi Noise Album View Mockup by Nicekiwi
A very basic mock-up of how I think Noise's Album View could look, based on how Google Image Search currently looks and functions. Its very fluid and easy to navigate.

Wow, I had not seen that! :D

I'm keen as for it to look/work just like that! :)

Oh my. I like the concept, very visually appealing and far slicker than the current implimentation, which, although looks good, tends to feel a little awkward.

Would this be animated? Regardless of the technical requirements, in your mind would the albums below the selected one slide downwards to reveal this or does this appear over them?

Yes, I'm not sure how Google image search works worldwide, but this should work the same way.

You click on an album and the row of albums below slides down and this dark section opens out between the rows, it does not cover them up. I forgot to add a close button, maybe to close the user clicks the album again.

Clicking another album elsewhere would I suppose close that one and open a new one.

I agree that the current implementation in Noise is rather clunky, but its still 0.2 so hopefully it gets better. :)

My idea has several impractical elements like sizing for smaller screens and the like, but I still like it and it fits with the rest of the widgets in the eOS environment. Something could be worked out I'm sure. :)
